Multispectral Imagery Analysis in QGIS

This map was an exercise in a free and open source software for geospatial applications course as part of the Graduate GIS Certificate program at the University of Colorado, Denver. Please inquire for full assignment.

The purpose of the assignment was to display and analyze multiband remotely sensed imagery in QGIS using an unsupervised classification.

Skills demonstrated and QGIS tools used:

• display and inspect image data
• remote sensing imagery analysis (SAGA k-means clustering for grids)
• data processing
• layer property information
• symbology and layer styling
• band rendering
• transparency
